I was asked a question on ebay about what the thread count was on the black and white Desmond 15 piece comforter set. Specifically the customer was asking about the thread count of each item in the package.
The Desmond is a hand-packed bonded fiberfill with 100% cotton fabric on all pieces. With this type of comforter set, although of high quality, thread counts are not listed except for sheets.
Thread counts are most important for down and down alternative comforters and pillow, duvet covers and sheets. For down and alternative down, a higher thread count means a the down will stay in tact for a longer period of time. For sheets, it is a matter of softness.
