Fill power is important to look at when purchasing down comforters or down comforter sets. Fill power is the key element in determining the warmth of the comforter and is an excellent indication of the quality of the down.
Down comforters with a higher fill power will be both lighter and warmer. Typically comforters with a fill power of 600 or more are in this category. A lower fill power is needed for warmer climates and will not be as fluffy as the high fill power comforters.
